Betty Rose (left) joins KCH staff members as they introduce themseleves to Clarence (right) and enjoy some conversation and his photo album.
Thursday, September 13, Kane County Hospital held a reception to introduce Clarence Staton and his latch hook rugs to the community and staff.
The reception was wonderfully attended as KCH staff members turned out in full force to compliment Clarence on his work. Staton virtually beamed with pride as he shared his photo album with all his new friends.
Staton had taken center stage for over 20 years as he performed as a professional clown. As a resident of KCH Skilled Nursing facility he fills his days creating latch hook rugs which sing of bright colors and warm scenes.
If you find yourself trying to find something to do or someone to visit I am pretty sure Clarence would enjoy showing you his rugs and visiting for a spell.
