Health care professionals at Kane County Hospital want to keep the public safe from seasonal illnesses, such as Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV). RSV is a viral infection that causes difficulty breathing in infected infants and young children, and may lead to sever respiratory complications.

Kane County Hospital is committed to keeping our children will and healthy through out the RSV season. To ensure public safety, we will be enforcing our annual RSV policy. Starting November 1st, and until further notice, children under 12 years old may enter the facility only if they are being seen as a patient. We hope this precaution will keep RSV incidence to a minimum in our area, and protect the well being of our infants and toddlers.

We appreciate the understanding and cooperation of the public.
