I Have Never Worked as Hard But. . .

Kim Snedeger has a certain twinkle in her eyes that always makes you wonder what is going on in that pretty head of hers. Born and raised in Grantsville, Utah, Kim is a small town girl at heart.

She attended college in Orem at the University of Utah. While there she studied Early Childhood Education and nursing. Kim was able to put herself through school by working several jobs but most of her work hours were at preschools and babysitting.

She moved to Tooele and worked as a piece worker for a sewing factory. "Mom still has some of the clothes," Kim quipped. Kim also worked at Brashers Salt Lake Auto Auction for a time.

In 1999 Snedeger relocated to Oregon and Vancouver, Washington. She lived in the area for six years before the call of Utah beckoned her home.

She went to Salt Lake Community College and the University of Utah earning her Certified Medical Assistant designation.

Her mother, stepfather, and older sister moved to Glendale, Utah. In October 2004, Kim took their lead and now calls Glendale home as well.

Every once in a while Kim will surprise me with a hand crafted card or bring in some "simple" toy she has made. Let me tell you the woman has talent. Talent combined with knowledge and compassion, wow! No wonder she is a great medical assistant. Among her hobbies is cross-stitching but her passion is scrapbooking.

On November 18, 2004 Kim came on staff as an MA-C in Kane County Clinic. Her partner is Laretta Crofts MA. "I work with some of the best people," Kim stated. "I have never worked so hard but we have such a great group I have a good time." Kim and Laretta are currently the MAs for Dr. Bowman and are in transition to start assisting Wayne Nielsen PA-C. Dr. Ott’s right hand MAs are Layle Johnson and Cynthia Noteman. Currently Noteman is also helping Wayne. Lexie Little MA helps keep Dr. Salter organized. We also have Susanna Evans MA, working closely with Hernan Garreaud PA-C. Then our Valley crew which is led by Joanne Palmer Nurse Practitioner and assisted by Toni Crofts MA and Linda Tait.

Kane County Hospital and this community are very fortunate to have these dedicated providers and their assistants. They make our lives healthier.
